Frequently asked questions

What is Bondwell?

Bondwell is a telehealth service for connection care. You complete an online visit, a licensed provider reviews it, and if appropriate they prescribe compounded oxytocin nasal spray, prepared by a licensed US pharmacy and shipped discreetly.

Is oxytocin nasal spray FDA-approved?

No. Compounded oxytocin nasal spray isn’t FDA-approved for relationship, mood or anxiety use. It’s prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy for an individual patient based on a provider’s prescription.

Do I need a prescription?

Yes. Real oxytocin is prescription-only in the US. A licensed provider decides whether it’s appropriate for you, and they may say no.

How does the online visit work?

You answer a health questionnaire online, which takes about ten minutes. A licensed provider in your state reviews it, may message you with follow-up questions, and decides whether to prescribe.

How much does it cost?

Membership is $149 per month, or $129 per month when billed every three months. Your first month is $99. The online visit is free, and you’re only charged if a provider prescribes.

Can my partner and I both use it?

Each person needs their own visit and prescription.

What are the side effects?

In short-term research, intranasal oxytocin has generally been well tolerated, with occasional nasal irritation, runny nose or headache. It isn’t for use during pregnancy. Your provider reviews your history and medications first.

Will it fix my relationship?

No medication can do that. Some research suggests oxytocin may support feeling open and connected, but results are mixed. It works best alongside time together and, when needed, counseling.

How is it shipped?

In plain, temperature-controlled packaging, direct from a licensed pharmacy.

Can I cancel?

Yes. You can pause or cancel your membership anytime.
